75mm Erwin Rommel is a resin figure of the best-known German field marshal of the Second World War, cast in the large collector format of 75 mm.
Responsibility details are not available.
The figure captures Erwin Rommel in the 75 mm format, which is popular among collectors exactly because it allows the face and the folds of the cloth to be worked out to a degree that is unattainable in small scales. The casting is polyurethane resin and is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
He became famous as early as 1940 at the head of the 7th Panzer Division, which the French nicknamed the Ghost Division for the speed of its advance. From February 1941 he commanded the German corps in North Africa, and his name grew together with the fighting for Tobruk and with the retreat from El Alamein. He received the rank of field marshal in June 1942. He spent the last year of his life inspecting the defenses of the French coast and commanding Army Group B in Normandy. In July 1944 he was seriously wounded in an attack by a low-flying aircraft, and in October of the same year he died in connection with the investigation of the attempt on Hitler's life.
First wash the figure in lukewarm soapy water so that the traces of mold release agent disappear. Cut the casting remains off with a saw and level the surface with wet sanding paper. Cyanoacrylate holds the joints; ordinary cement for plastic does not work here. Once the undercoat is on, it pays to finish the face and the equipment with oil paints, which allow you to work on the transitions for a long time.
