The large resin sculpture 75mm Garage girl from Royal Model carries a workshop subject into the collector size of 75 mm.
Responsibility details are not available.
This version is meant for those who want to display the figure on its own rather than hide it in a scene. The polyurethane resin casting belongs to the range designated as 75 mm, which the manufacturer itself connects with 1:24 scale. Compared with small diorama figures there is considerably more surface here for the modeling of the face, the hands and the clothing.
In the larger format the paint and shadow approach stops being enough. Skin needs three to five transitional tones, cloth will take a suggested weave, and the eyes are painted as a task of their own, because a mistake in them is obvious at a glance. At the same time a wider surface forgives less: every edge left unsanded and every remnant of casting will stand out under the paint.
First immerse the casting in a lukewarm bath with dish soap and go over the hollows with a soft brush. Glue the joints with cyanoacrylate, fill the gaps with putty and sand them down so that the line of the clothing follows on smoothly. It is better to apply the undercoat in two thin coats than in one heavy one. Painting is best done from the top down, that is the face, the hair, the clothing and finally the footwear and the plinth.
It is supplied raw, without paints and glue.
