75mm Universal soldier is a large-format resin figure of a soldier that the name deliberately does not tie to any particular army or period.
Responsibility details are not available.
The figure belongs to the 75 mm range and is cast in resin. The name does not bind it to a particular army, period or battlefield, so it is an item for anyone who wants to decide the final treatment themselves. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Seventy-five millimeters means roughly twice the height of an ordinary diorama figure. A gaze can be worked out on the face, a crease and a worn edge on the cloth, a highlight on the metal. Painters therefore work differently in this format than in small scales: more with glazes, with more patience over the transitions and with fewer shortcuts. At the same time a large casting shows up every joint left unfinished without mercy, so preparing the surface takes more time than the painting itself.
After washing and removing the casting remains, put the figure together dry and check how the parts seat. Resin can be sanded down, but a filled joint is harder to hide. Glue the joints with cyanoacrylate; on larger surfaces a wire pin will help. Apply the undercoat in thin coats so that the texture of the surface is not lost. Skin and cloth are then best handled with oils or with acrylics thinned heavily into glazes, applied in many translucent coats one after another. We recommend fixing the finished figure permanently, because otherwise it will break off at its thinnest point during handling.
