Black Shade Wash

Vallejo Black Shade Wash, a black acrylic wash

This is a ready-made wash, a very fluid transparent acrylic paint, not an opaque color and not a kit. The black wash deepens shadows markedly, flows into engraved lines, folds and recesses and gives the model contrast and a three-dimensional look. It is water-thinnable, non-toxic and odorless.

Use

• Apply with a brush directly into recesses and engraved detail.
• To darken a whole area, apply in thin layers and let it dry.
• Excess can be wiped away with a damp brush while the wash is still wet.
• Suitable for figures, military vehicles, machinery and accessories.

Who it is for

For figure painters and modelers who want to deepen shadows quickly and evenly and bring out detail without mixing their own black glaze.

Water-thinnable acrylic, non-toxic. Store closed and out of reach of children; shake after a longer break.
