A scenic accessory from the Dio-Mat range that combines two elements usually sold separately, grass tufts and fallen leaves, into one finished autumn whole. It solves the situation that gives a diorama builder the most work: the transition between grass and the layer of fallen leaves under the trees. When leaves are sprinkled onto finished turf, they either do not get down between the blades or they cover the grass completely. Here the way the two grow through each other is part of the product. The autumn variant works with withering and rusting tones; the summer version of the same range is greener.

Use

• Use it where the ground is to lie under the crowns of trees: the edges of woods, avenues, neglected gardens, corners by walls.
• Always thin the edges of the area out and let it run into clean grass or bare earth, so that no visible boundary forms.
• Combine it with loose leaves on paths and with a few individual leaves on vehicles and roofs, as fallen leaves stay put even where no grass grows.
• Complete the autumn key with matching effects on the vehicles: damp ground, darker mud, fogged glass.
• Before gluing, lay the area out dry on the scene and turn it in several directions; the structure has a strong grain that will affect the result.
