A specialist visual publication from the Duke Hawkins range (Aircraft in Detail) from the publisher HMH Publications. Note, this is a book, not a model. The book is a photographic portrait of the legendary Supermarine Spitfire fighter in the Mk.IX and Mk.XVI versions and is conceived above all as a detailed visual reference for modelers. The text is in English and the publication is printed on quality coated paper with a large number of color photographs.
The book is meant for modelers building Spitfires in the Mk.IX and Mk.XVI versions who will appreciate rich detail photography as reference, and also for historians and fans of the Royal Air Force of the Second World War. It is not fiction and not a monograph whose weight lies in the text; the main value is the visual documentation.
