This set of fine photo-etched metal eyelets (grommets) from the Italian maker Royal Model serves for universal refinement of models. The miniature metal eyelets faithfully imitate the fittings in tarpaulins, covers, straps and lashings, the threading holes for lines and cords and the small anchor points on vehicles, buildings and accessories. It is a workshop detailing material, not a model.
Separate the eyelets with a sharp knife on a hard surface and transfer them with tweezers. Glue them with a small drop of super glue (cyanoacrylate). For a realistic threading you can pass thin wire or cord through the eyelets. Clean and degrease them before painting, and apply a primer to the metal.
For advanced modelers and diorama builders who want to give their models functional-looking fittings and fine detail beyond the base kit.
