A twelve-millimeter fiber is one of the longest sizes commonly available and it determines what you can do with it in a scene: tall summer grass, an unmown verge, an overgrown ditch or growth around abandoned equipment. The light green shade matches fresh grass at the start of summer. The material is loose and is applied into a layer of glue, ideally with an electrostatic applicator, which stands the fibers upright.
Apply the grass onto a thin layer of PVA glue and vacuum or tap the excess off once dry. An electrostatic applicator is not a necessity, but without it the fibers lie down and the area will look like a carpet rather than a meadow. Do not rely on a single shade: if you mix a little darker and a little dried material into the light grass, the area gains depth. Tall grass looks best in tufts, not in a continuous band.
The material is supplied loose, for further work. Glue and an applicator are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
