Sixteen acrylic shades covering German and Allied vehicles of the Second World War, twice the size of the usual eight-bottle set.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set is twice the size of the usual eight-bottle box in the same range, and there is a practical reason for that: it covers finishes that stood against each other. On one side the German dark greens and the dark yellow with its brown companions, on the other the American olive drab and the Soviet protective green. Anyone building vehicles from different armies will get a long way with a single box.
The German part of the palette: two dark greens of aviation origin, another dark green, the dark yellow that was the base of armored vehicles from 1943, a sand yellow, an ocher, a brown for armor and a burnt umber for shadows and rust.
The Allied part: American olive drab in two forms, Soviet protective green, khaki brown, olive gray and a red-brown tone that suits the underwater parts of ships as well as a base under corrosion. White and black complete the extremes, so any shade can be shifted without buying anything extra.
A note on use: on armored vehicles the dark yellow is applied as an overall base and the green and brown patches are sprayed over it. With Soviet vehicles, by contrast, you start from a uniform green that only needs shifting with white or umber depending on whether a winter or a summer look is wanted.
Sixteen bottles also mean greater demands on space. It pays to store them upside down or at least to shake them now and then, because the pigment settles in the thicker shades and after a long time standing the mixing ball in the bottle breaks it up only slowly.
