A light gray per the American standard, number 26440, in a semi-gloss finish. The classic tone for the upper surfaces of American naval aircraft. A 10 ml jar.

Number 26440 denotes a light gray that the US Air Force and Navy used for decades as the base tone for upper surfaces. The two at the start of the five-digit number indicates a semi-gloss finish. Paired with a white underside, this gray formed the typical look of carrier aircraft from the 1950s onward, worn by fighter and attack types that operated from American aircraft carriers until the arrival of later low-visibility schemes.
It is not limited to aircraft. The light, neutral tone also works well on equipment, on light parts of ship superstructures, and as a base for gradually lightening larger areas. The semi-gloss finish is practical too: smooth enough for decals to sit directly on it, yet not so mirror-like that it looks toy-like at scale.
The package contains 10 ml. Mix the paint thoroughly before use, or the semi-gloss finish will come out uneven with matter patches. It is thinned with water when spraying an absorbent surface; on plastic, Mr. Color Thinner gives a more even film. Light grays are unforgiving of poorly sanded seams, so check the model's surface under a bright light before spraying and fill any flaws.
A wash stands out far more on a light base than on a dark one, so choose a lighter application and wipe off the excess right away. Panel lines need only be suggested; excessive contrast starts to look like a grid and takes away from the model's believability.
