Hobby color - lak matný

Hobby Color H20, clear matte varnish, 10 ml (Gunze)

A clear matte topcoat from the Aqueous Hobby Color range by the Japanese manufacturer Gunze, also known as GSI Creos. The bottle has a volume of 10 ml. It is a water-thinnable acrylic material that is applied as the last layer and unifies the sheen of the whole model to a matte finish.

What it is and what it is not

It is not an opaque paint and it does not change the shade beneath it, it only adjusts the surface. A matte topcoat also slightly dampens the saturation of the shades, so expect the model to look somewhat calmer once flattened. It is used mainly after decals have been applied, so that the glossy edges of the decal film disappear and the model looks uniform. The Aqueous range is thinned with its own thinner or with water; do not mix it with the Mr. Color lacquer range or with the Acrysion range, as each of them has its own chemistry.

Use

• Shake the bottle thoroughly before work, as the flattening component settles at the bottom.
• For the airbrush, thin it with the thinner of the Aqueous range or with water.
• Apply in thin coats, as a heavy layer may go white.
• Apply the topcoat to an already painted model only once the paint has dried completely.
• Let it dry thoroughly before putting the model in a display case.

Who it is for

For modelers who work with water-thinnable acrylics and want to flatten a model after decals and after weathering. It also suits unifying the surface of figures, where glossy spots give away the transitions between layers.

Keep the product out of the reach of children. Apply even water-thinnable acrylics with ventilation and do not breathe the aerosol when spraying.
