This is material for building, not a finished part or a kit. The package contains six pieces of hollow styrene tube two millimeters in diameter and 350 millimeters long. Neither the diameter nor the length has anything to do with the scale of a model: they are the dimensions of a blank from which you make the part yourself, so the same material finds a use on a large model and on a small one.
Styrene is the same material ordinary plastic kits are molded from, so it is worked in exactly the same way: it is cut with a knife and a saw, sanded, filled and glued with thin cement for plastic, which welds the joint. A part made from it therefore ties in naturally with the parts from the box and behaves identically under paint. A hollow profile has two advantages over solid rod: a barrel, an exhaust or a pipe looks more believable because it has a real opening, and a thinner profile or a wire can be slid into the cavity to create a telescopic joint.
Cut the tube with a fine-toothed saw and turn it as you go rather than nipping it off, because otherwise the mouth will be squashed into an oval. Level the cut on a sanding surface and gently deburr the edge of the mouth from the inside with the tip of a drill turned between your fingers. Glue it with thin cement for plastic applied into the seam with a brush. Degrease the surface before painting, as styrene tends to be dusty after sanding and the paint could bead.

Cutting and sanding plastic creates dust and sharp offcuts, so work in a ventilated room and clean up the waste.
