Six acrylic paints for brush painting the late schemes of the Luftwaffe, from the RLM 74 and 75 pair to the brown-violet and light green of 1944.

The palette captures the change in the camouflage of German aircraft between 1941 and the capitulation. It opens with Grey-Violet RLM 75, the gray-violet tone of the upper surfaces, which from the beginning of 1941 went with the 74/75/76 scheme and later accompanied the newer shades. The decisive turn came in 1944: first, in the first half of the year, Dark Green RLM 83 appeared as a replacement for RLM 74, and then from August the pair Brown-Violet RLM 81 and Light Green RLM 82, which completed the confusion of the late camouflages.
The light blue RLM 76 covered the lower surfaces and the sides of the fuselage in the older scheme as well as after the middle of 1944 under the RLM 81 and 82 patches. It is completed by Black-Grey RLM 66, the standard shade of instrument panels and of all interior surfaces visible from outside, where it served as an anti-glare screen. The six therefore cover a whole model from the cockpit to the belly.
Blue Line is an acrylic range thickened so that it can be applied by hand without spatter. It therefore suits small parts, cockpit tubs, mottling on the fuselage and additional coloring where taking an airbrush apart would be slow. Work with a damp brush and several light passes; a thick coat would fill the engraving. Once dry, the surface can be overcoated with a water-thinnable clear. You will protect the paint left in the bottle by wiping the neck and thread after every session, because with brush ranges a crust dries on them faster than with spraying ranges.
