Metallic Black

Vallejo Premium Color, Metallic Black (60 ml)

Metallic Black is a black metallic from the Vallejo Premium Color line, water-based airbrush paints with a hybrid acrylic-polyurethane binder. Fine metal pigments give the black depth and a subtle metal sparkle. The paint has high opacity, grips plastic, metal, fiberglass and the flexible bodies of RC models well, and is ready to spray. It also works as a dark base under transparent Candy shades.

Use

• Apply it with an airbrush with a 0.3 mm nozzle or larger, at a pressure of roughly 2 to 4 bar.
• Stir the metallic thoroughly before use and while spraying, as the metal pigment settles at the bottom.
• It looks best over a smooth, finely sanded base.
• Apply it at the end; metallic shades are harder to overspray and to mask.

Who it is for

The paint suits modelers as well as makers of custom projects, RC bodies, helmets and decorative work where a deep metallic black or a dark base under Candy shades is needed.

Store out of the reach of children, ventilate while spraying and use respiratory protection.
