Mr Cement SP (Gunze / Mr.Hobby)

Mr Cement SP is an extra thin liquid cement for injection-molded plastic (polystyrene) models from the Japanese company Gunze, sold under the Mr.Hobby brand. The abbreviation SP (Super Power) refers to its main strengths — compared with ordinary thin cements it dries markedly faster and creates a stronger joint. The low viscosity allows the cement to wick into a seam already brought together by itself (by capillary action). The cap of the bottle carries a fine brush for accurate dosing.

Use

• Bring the parts together first and apply the cement with the brush straight into the seam — thanks to the capillary effect it flows into the joint by itself.
• The cement softens the surface of the plastic and welds the parts together; the quick drying limits softening of the surrounding surface.
• Ideal for fine and accurate joints, where you want to get the cement into a part already fitted together.
• Intended for polystyrene (ordinary modeling) plastic; it does not bond resin, metal or etched parts.
