An airbrush cannot simply be put down on the table. Paint stays in the cup and runs out of a gun that is lying down, onto the top and into places it is then hard to get out of. The nozzle and the needle are moreover delicate: all it takes is for the gun to slide off a pile of tools, the needle bends and the spray pattern will never be the same again. The holder keeps the gun upright, so the paint stays in the cup and the tip touches nothing.
Most of all when painting in several coats, when the gun is put down every few moments and you wait for a coat to become tacky. Just as much when mixing a shade, when flushing between colors and when working with a model that has to be held in both hands. The table stays clear and the gun is always in the same place, even in the smallest working space.
For everyone who sprays with an airbrush regularly and does not want to put it down on the tabletop. The airbrush, the hose and the compressor are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
