1:35 He-111 H 6 - One-Sided Painting Mask is a set of single-sided painting masks for a large model of the Heinkel He 111 H-6 bomber.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of pre-cut painting masks for a model of the German Heinkel He 111 bomber in the H-6 version, in 1:35 scale. The single-sided version means that the masks cover the outside of the glazing. On this aircraft masking is exceptionally demanding: the glazed nose is divided into dozens of irregular panes and cutting them out of tape by hand would take longer than the whole fuselage.
The He 111 entered service as a modern fast bomber and the H-6 version was among the most widespread. It carried two inverted V12 Junkers Jumo 211 engines, that is, engines with their cylinders below the crankshaft, and could also carry torpedoes. The most striking feature of the type is the fully glazed asymmetric nose with an offset gun position, which replaced the conventional stepped cockpit with a separate windscreen.
Lift the masks off the sheet with the sharp point of a scalpel or with tweezers, not with your fingers. Degrease the glazing before applying them, or the tape will not hold. With this many panes, break the work up and go row by row, or you will easily lose your place. Press the edges down with a toothpick, spray thin coats and take the mask off while the paint is dry to the touch.
The set contains painting masks only. Paints and the model are not included in the package.
