A kit of a French light reconnaissance armored car from the fighting in Indochina between 1946 and 1954, 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The subject is a light wheeled reconnaissance armored car in French service. Vehicles of this class relied on speed and road range rather than on armor: the crew was two or three men, the armament usually a single machine gun, and the main tasks were reconnaissance, liaison and the escorting of convoys. Follow the illustration on the box.
The war in Indochina ran between 1946 and 1954 and was fought largely along roads, passes and river crossings. Light armored cars served there for patrolling and for escorting supply convoys, that is for tasks where mobility and visibility count for more than firepower. Damp tropical conditions marked the equipment quickly, which is a rewarding subject for a builder.
1:72 scale means small parts, so try the seating dry before gluing and apply the glue drop by drop. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts. Assemble and paint the chassis and the wheels separately, because access to them is limited once the hull is in place. When painting, a thin base coat helps, as the covering shade holds on it better. Dust on the fenders, worn paint on the edges and lightened upper surfaces give a small model scale and depth.
A kit is supplied; the model is unassembled and unpainted. Paints, glue and tools are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
