1:72 Forgotten Operations - Operation Kutuzov

Operation Kutuzov Decal Set 1:72 (DP Casper)

This item is a decal set from DP Casper of the Forgotten Operations range in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a set of waterslide decals with the markings of aircraft committed during Operation Kutuzov. To use it you have to own the matching plastic kits in the same scale.

The real subject

Operation Kutuzov was the Soviet counteroffensive launched in July 1943 on the Oryol axis as part of the Battle of Kursk. The air forces of both sides met in dense commitment in the fighting - from Soviet fighters and ground-attack aircraft to German machines supporting the ground units. The set captures the markings of aircraft from that campaign and allows models with a specific historical identity to be built.

Use

• The decals are applied to a finished, painted and glossy model surface
• The trimmed motif is soaked, slid off the backing and moved into position
• A decal softener is recommended for settling onto a contoured surface
• Once dry, the model is coated with a matte or semi-gloss varnish

Who the set is for

• Modelers building aircraft of the Eastern Front and the Battle of Kursk
• Anyone interested in less common historical markings and specific machines
• Builders who want to enrich their kits with authentic variants

This is an accessory, not a complete model. To use it you need the base kit of the matching aircraft in 1:72 scale; paints and glue are not included in the package.
