Modeling sandpaper of 180 grit, that is a coarse grit for the first leveling of joints and for removing surplus material.
Responsibility details are not available.
Sandpaper for modeling work, 180 grit. Within modeling sanding this is a coarse step. It serves where a noticeable amount of material has to be taken off: leveling the glued joint of a fuselage half, truing up what is left after a part has been separated, or chamfering an edge that is meant to be blunt.
A coarse grit works fast and does damage just as fast, which is why it is worth keeping to a few principles. Sand lightly, because pressure will not speed the work up, only deepen the scratches. On flat surfaces back the paper with a hard block so that the surface does not go wavy; on rounded parts, back it with something springy instead. Watch where fine surface detail runs: rivets and panel lines will disappear after two strokes and would then have to be restored. As soon as the shape is level, move on to finer grits and sand the scratches from the coarse paper out step by step, otherwise they will show under a glossy paint.
On plastic, on rigid compounds and on wooden parts. It pays to cut the sheet into smaller pieces: a smaller area is easier to hold, aims more precisely and the paper lasts longer, because it clogs up part by part. Blow the dust off or sweep it away with a brush as you go, because clogged paper slides and stops biting. Wash the surface before painting and let it dry, otherwise the sanding dust will stay in the paint.
The package contains only sandpaper of the grit stated. Models, sanding blocks and finer grits are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
