A sharp transition between the glazing and the frame is hard to get with tape cut on the model, and on a helicopter with a large glazed area there are dozens of edges. Pre-cut masks shorten that work and above all make it consistent: every frame comes out the same width and no line wanders. The set is cut for models in 1:48 scale after the Hobby Boss kits numbered 81772 and 81773.
The Chinook is a heavy transport helicopter with two main rotors in tandem, that is without a tail rotor. The CH-47A designation belongs to the early version, the CH-47D to the later one. It is precisely the differences between the versions that show on a model mainly in the glazing and the equipment, so it pays to compare the parts with the kit instructions before you apply the masks.
For modelers who build the Chinook in 1:48 scale from the kits named above and want the glazing frames and the wheels left clean without cutting masks by hand. The exact extent of the set and the assignment of the individual pieces are given by the manufacturer in the enclosed instructions.
The package contains a masking set. The model, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
