Masks for the Messerschmitt Me 410 A-3 in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer New Ware. Masks of paper masking tape; this is not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a masking set, not a model. The masks are cut from Japanese-type paper masking tape, which holds well but leaves no adhesive residue behind and does not tear off fresh varnish when removed. On glazing that is a decisive property. The Me 410 has a long glazed cockpit running along the whole forward fuselage spine with a large number of frames, so cutting tape by hand would take hours and the edges would not come out even. The A-3 version, moreover, differs from the combat variants in what it carried in the nose, so the set matches that particular configuration.
The Messerschmitt Me 410 was a German twin-engine combat aircraft that followed on from an unsuccessful earlier type and cured its handling problems. The A-3 version was a reconnaissance one: instead of armament or a bomb bay it carried photographic equipment and served for long-range photography. Its speed and range made it a machine suited to penetrating enemy territory.
The set is for modelers of the Luftwaffe who are building the reconnaissance version and want sharp frames on a long cockpit. The set is cut to the shape of the parts of a particular kit, so make sure it matches yours.
This is not a model. The kit, paints and varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
