British hussars in field dress: the set 28mm British Napoleonic Wars Hussars 1808-1815 (14 Figures) offers fourteen riders with five variants of headdress.

Fourteen cavalry figures including an officer and a trumpeter, bases and a painting guide are what you will find in this box from Perry Miniatures. What is remarkable is the freedom of the build: every hussar has a choice of five variants of headdress, so the unit can look as it did at the start of the fighting on the Iberian Peninsula and as it did in the campaign of 1815 alike. Apart from the trumpeter, all the figures have two variants of arms, with the saber on the shoulder or extended for the charge.
The hussar regiments of the British army set out for the continent at a time when light cavalry was above all a commander's eyes. They rode far ahead of the main body, watched fords and roads and kept communication between dispersed corps. At the same time they counted as an arm with a reputation for being unruly, because a charge once under way was hard to stop. The same figures can also be painted as hussars of the King's German Legion or as Hanoverian regiments, which fought alongside the British units.
The pelisse is a separate part, and if you leave it out you get a rider in a hot climate, as they looked in summer in Spain. The saber extended for the charge is slender, so after removing the flash check it against the light. Gold or silver braiding only needs suggesting with two strokes; you do not have to outline the whole dolman.
Assembly and painting await the hussars; the necessary tools and paints are to be obtained separately.
