Replacement road wheels with burnt-out rubber tires for the early versions of the Pz.Kpfw IV Ausf. A to D in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The versions A to D are early Pz.Kpfw IV tanks, that is vehicles from the first production series with thinner armor and a short barrel. Scenes from the start of the war call for vehicles turned out differently from later tanks: different tools on the fenders, different hatches and different road wheels. It is precisely the wheels that tend to be the place where the build of an early example gives itself away, when parts from a later version are used.
The wheels render the state after a fire: the rubber tire burned off or fell apart and a bare steel disc was left. The set is therefore aimed at a wreck, at a vehicle after a hit and at a battlefield diorama, not at a tank in good order. That there are two different sets for the early and the late versions is no accident, as the version of the wheels changed during production. So check which version you are building and compare the parts with your kit dry.
Cut excess material and traces of manufacture away with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and sand the remainder off. Wash and degrease the parts before painting and choose the glue according to their material; the exact procedure is given in the manufacturer's instructions. When gluing, watch that all the wheels lie in one plane and at the same spacing, otherwise the track will not sit on them. It works well to glue with the model standing on a flat board and to let the joints cure while the wheels hold their position.
The package holds replacement road wheels in 1:35 scale. The tank model, tracks, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
