German 47 mm ammunition of the Second World War in 1:35 scale, for the Panzerjäger I tank destroyer and for the gun carried under the designation 4,7cm PaK(f).
Responsibility details are not available.
The 47 mm caliber stood at the beginning of the German anti-tank road from small-caliber guns to heavy pieces. Against the armor of 1940 it was still enough, and so the Germans fielded weapons of this caliber both in towed form with the anti-tank battalions and built into vehicles. The Panzerjäger I was the first German series-built tank destroyer: on the chassis of the Panzer I light tank, in place of the removed turret, sat a gun covered by an open armored shield. What came of it was a vehicle that had firepower with no hope of protecting its crew, but that got where a towed gun would not have arrived in time.
The set aims at both forms. Beside the armament of the Panzerjäger I it also covers the gun carried under the designation 4,7cm PaK(f), where the suffix in parentheses meant, in German practice, captured French armament that the Wehrmacht took into its own service after 1940. Collectors of captured vehicles thus get an accessory that ordinary sets never reach.
Cut excess material away with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and sand the remainder off carefully, so that the rim of the cartridge case and the outline of the projectile are preserved. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the coat of paint will hold badly. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts. Place the ammunition where a crew would really have had it: in an open fighting compartment, in the bins along the sides, in a crate by a wheel or loose on the ground as spent cases.
For builders of German vehicles from the first years of the war in 1:35 scale and for makers of dioramas. The model, paints and glue are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
