The FMA IA-58 Pucara is an Argentine twin-engine turboprop aircraft intended for counterinsurgency work and for close support of ground troops. It was developed between 1966 and 1973, entered service in the middle of the 1970s and was operated by other countries besides Argentina. Its robust structure and its ability to work from unprepared strips made it a light attack aircraft of its own kind.
