About product

EA-18G Growler Rooks and Yellow Jackets 1:48 - Two Bobs decals

A decal set in 1:48 scale from Two Bobs. It is not a kit but a decal sheet for a finished model of the EA-18G carrier-borne electronic warfare aircraft. The set offers markings for two US Navy squadrons nicknamed the Rooks and the Yellow Jackets.

The real subject

The Boeing EA-18G Growler is a two-seat carrier-borne electronic warfare aircraft of the US Navy derived from the Super Hornet. It serves to jam enemy radars and communications and to destroy air defense systems, and so to open the way for strike packages. It carries specialized jamming pods and anti-radiation missiles.

Use and tips

  • Apply them over a glossy painted surface so that they settle perfectly
  • Use decal softener and setting solution for adhesion to the panel lines
  • Once dry, seal them with a matte or semi-gloss clear coat

Who the set is for

  • Builders of the Growler in 1:48 scale
  • Fans of electronic warfare and of today's US Navy carrier aviation
  • Collectors of striking squadron markings

The set holds decals only. The kit, the paints and the clear coat are not included in the package.
