You will recognize the sagged tires and the spare from the 1:35 US ACV-P set by the tread flattened by the weight of the vehicle, which injection molded wheels do not have.
Responsibility details are not available.
3D printing makes it possible to produce a tire complete with the deformation that the casing takes on at the ground under the weight of the machine. This set from Toucan Model brings wheels shaped that way for the ACV-P amphibious carrier, and a spare to go with them.
A wheeled armored vehicle weighs tens of tons and rubber visibly spreads out at the road. A perfectly round wheel does not admit to that load, so the finished model looks as though it were floating above its base. Loaded wheels are therefore one of the few accessories that change the overall impression of a model at first glance, before anyone has even looked at the small details.
Before gluing, turn all the wheels so that the flattened areas point downwards and lie in one plane, or the vehicle will rock on its base. Do not paint the rubber black: a dark gray shade complemented by fine dust at the rim looks truer. The sidewall lettering can be suggested with a thin brush, and the depth of the grooves comes out after a dry brush in a lighter tone.
Printed resin is bonded with cyanoacrylate and before painting it needs a filler primer to cover the fine traces of layering. The kit of the vehicle, paints and glue are not supplied.
