Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American light off-road vehicle Willys MB (the 1/4-ton Utility Truck) together with a 1/4-ton cargo trailer, in the impressive large 1:16 scale from Takom. Thanks to the large scale, the kit offers richly detailed engine, chassis, and interior work and makes an ideal basis for a display model or diorama.
The Willys MB, generally known as the Jeep, was adopted by the US Army in 1941 as a 1/4-ton, 4x4 off-road vehicle. Light, tough, and versatile, it carried soldiers, officers, communications equipment, and supplies, becoming one of the most significant vehicles of the Second World War. Paired with the 1/4-ton trailer, it handled logistics and resupply directly in the field on every front.
First assemble and paint the engine, chassis, and interior of the vehicle before closing up the body — at the large 1:16 scale, these details really stand out. Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue with thin liquid cement for plastic. Apply a primer before painting, spray the olive green coat with an airbrush, and bring the surface to life with a wash in recesses and panels. Dust and mud effects with pigments on the wheels and wheel wells give the vehicle and trailer a convincing field look.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
