This is NOT a tank kit, but a detailed resin set of replacement tracks for a model of the Soviet BT-7 fast tank in 1:35 scale. It replaces the tracks from an ordinary kit with a more faithful casting with a crisp texture of the links and a realistic surface. The manufacturer is the brand PANZER ART.
The BT-7 was a Soviet fast (wheel-cum-track) tank of the 1930s that followed on from the BT series. It was marked by high speed and light armor; it was fielded in the fighting at the turn of the 1930s and 1940s. Its characteristic running gear with large road wheels and the typical pattern of its tracks are among its recognizable features, and this set brings them out.
First wash the mold release residue off the resin parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and clean the parts up. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Use respiratory protection when sanding. We recommend assembling the tracks and setting the sag before painting; they come out best once the base color is sprayed on and a patina of washes and pigments follows (mud and dust effects).
This is an accessory to a model, not a complete kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
