S065 Bright Blue - (Gloss) Spray

Gunze Mr.Color Spray S065 Bright Blue (gloss)

A lacquer aerosol spray in a bright, saturated blue with a high gloss from the Japanese brand Gunze (GSI Creos), the Mr.Color Spray range. The paint is ready to spray straight from the can - you need neither an airbrush nor a compressor. Note, it is neither an acrylic nor an enamel: Mr.Color is a lacquer with its own solvent chemistry which holds as a firm, durable film with a beautiful gloss, but at the same time it slightly attacks bare plastic.

Use

• Shake the can thoroughly before use and during spraying - otherwise the pigment will not stay evenly mixed.
• Apply it in several thin coats from a distance of roughly 25 cm; thin coats prevent runs and keep the gloss clean.
• Because lacquer attacks plastic, spray a surfacer first on delicate parts or for a perfect base - ideally a white one with bright colors.
• A bright blue goes gray and loses saturation over a dark base; for full brightness apply it over a light, preferably white base.
• The high gloss is an ideal smooth foundation under decals and for glossy car bodies; the result can be deepened further with a clear top coat.
• Work in warm, dry conditions and in a well-ventilated area; in damp or cold the finish may whiten and go dull.

Who it is for

For modelers who want a striking, far from dull blue without mixing and without an airbrush - custom cars and motorcycles, mecha and Gunpla robots, anime builds and sports cars. It suits large glossy body surfaces just as well as a base color under decals.

Safety: it is a lacquer spray - flammable, and the fumes irritate the airways. Use a respirator, spray only in a well-ventilated area away from open flame and keep out of the reach of children.
