A yellow-green Vallejo effect mass for imitating acid, slime and poisonous liquids. It is applied with a brush onto a finished and dried surface of a figure.

The shade from the Game Color Special FX line is not meant for painting a whole model with. It is a finishing product: a thicker, markedly saturated yellow-green mass that the modeler lays onto a surface which has its base colors long behind it. The typical use is acid running from a maw, poisonous slime on a cutting edge, the contents of a broken vessel or a wet trace on a base.
The assumption is a figure that already has a ground and highlighting. Anyone still working out how to paint a cloak and flesh does not need this bottle yet, as it will make nothing easier and it is easy to overshoot with it. A more experienced painter, on the other hand, who can work with glazes and wants to give a figure a story, will save mixing his own blend of varnish and pigment. The work is done exclusively with a brush; the consistency is too high for an airbrush and thinning it down would lose exactly the quality the paint was made for.
One thin synthetic brush, a jar of water and a palette from which a small amount is taken are enough. The mass has to be shaken properly before use, as it settles to the bottom. It is laid in thin coats and left to dry between them; only the second coat gives that characteristic depth and the glossy impression of a fresh liquid. Anyone looking for an ordinary opaque green for a cloak or a uniform will do better to reach for a standard acrylic paint from the main palette, as this bottle is for an effect, not for an area. The smaller package also matches the fact that it is used up by the drop over many years.
