A darkly red effect product for the blood of supernatural beings. A thick glossy mass that on a cutting edge or in a wound looks like a freshly spilled fluid.
Responsibility details are not available.
Demonic blood is meant to be thicker and darker than human blood, and the shade is built exactly that way: a saturated red pulled into black, with no pink cast and with a marked sheen once dry. It finds a use on fantasy monsters, on sacrificial altars, on the blades of ritual weapons and on claws and fangs. The mass holds the shape of a drop, so it can be led down a cutting edge and left hanging on the point.
The first touch decides. Anyone who takes a full drop straight from the bottle and spreads it over a larger area will get a red stain that reads as a coat of paint, not as a fluid. Blood gains its credibility from shape and sheen, not from extent. Work therefore with the tip of a toothpick or a fine point, lay the mass down in small doses into the hollows of a wound and thin it toward the edge. More can be added at any time; taking some away once it has dried is practically impossible.
What helps most is following gravity. The drops should run downward, gather on the lower edge of a blade and hang on the point. The effect stands out against matte surroundings, so lay it down only on a finished and varnished model. The sheen is the carrier of the whole impression here, and as soon as it is covered by a matte coat, all that is left is a dark red paint with no life in it.
