SG02 Gundam Color Spray MS Blue is a lacquer aerosol by Gunze in the shade of the classic blue of the robots (Mobile Suit, MS for short, the robot of the world of Gundam). It is the official factory shade in a spray – the paint is thinned in advance and ready to spray, so you can lay the exact blue of the robot down even without an airbrush. That is the whole point of the range: the fast and exact coverage of the large areas of Gunpla kits. The package usually holds 100 ml and it dries to a semi-gloss mecha finish.

Use

• Before spraying shake the spray thoroughly so that the pigment is mixed through evenly.
• Lay it down in thin coats from a distance of roughly 25 cm, rather more light passes than one thick coat (to prevent running).
• Paint in warm, dry conditions – damp and cold worsen the drying and the sheen.
• Blue is an opaque shade suited to the blue accents and body sections of a robot; ideally over a lighter base or a white surfacer.
• Let the paint dry between coats; the finish can be sealed with a flat or a gloss varnish as needed.
