A white primer from the Vallejo Surface Primer range. It evens out the surface of a model, improves paint adhesion and prepares a light base under the color coats.
Responsibility details are not available.
A primer is the first coat laid on a model. It evens out a surface made up of different materials, so that plastic, metal and resin parts all take color the same way, and it gives the paint something to hold on to. At the same time it works as a check on the work: in a uniform shade an unsanded seam, a scratch or a fingerprint shows up at once, whereas under a color coat they would only appear at the end of the build.
A white base reflects light, so shades that cover poorly on their own glow over it: yellows, oranges and reds. It also comes into its own wherever the result should look light and clean, that is, with light camouflage schemes, with ambulance and rescue vehicles or under translucent clear coats. If you need to hold the brightness back instead, lay a thin coat of gray over the white base.
First wash and degrease the surface of the model and let it dry. Stir the bottle thoroughly before work. Apply it in thin coats; a heavy coat floods the engraved detail and then peels at the edges. Let the primer cure properly and only then carry on with the paint. For the thinner, the thinning ratio, the spraying pressure and the cleaning of tools, go by the manufacturer's instructions on the package.
The package contains the primer alone. A thinner, brushes and spraying equipment are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
