A set of tools for building models, designated number 1. The manufacturer's catalog gives the exact composition of the set.
Responsibility details are not available.
Tools bought one at a time have a habit of scattering: something lies by the compressor, something in the box from a kit, and the one you need most nowhere. A set keeps the tools together and gives a build a coherent foundation you can work with from the start, without finding halfway through that one piece is missing. The number in the name distinguishes the supplier's individual sets from one another.
Tools last as long as they are treated decently. Always work on a hard surface that will take a hit, and never use a tool as a lever: most damage does not come from the work but from twisting. Keep edges and tips clean and dry, wipe them after work and do not leave remains of glue or putty on them, because a hardened residue is more of a nuisance than wear. Always cut away from yourself and away from your other hand. A blunt or damaged tool is more dangerous than a sharp one, because it slips before it removes material, so replace worn parts in good time.
Store the tools so that tips and edges do not touch each other or any other metal. Damp in a workshop does metal no good, so a closed box or a case is better than an open shelf by a window.
For modelers who are putting together the equipment of their workbench and want the tools they need in one package. Kits, paints, glue and consumables are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
