Vallejo True Metallic Metal BASE, Aged Metal

Aged Metal is a base metallic tone from the True Metallic Metal (TMM) line by Vallejo. This water-thinnable acrylic with a fine metal pigment gives a surface the look of aged, darkened metal. The TMM line is a system: each family has a BASE tone (full coverage), a LiGHT highlight, a satin non-metallic SHADE and an airbrush variant. BASE is the carrying layer of the effect. The bottle holds 18 ml.

Use

• Shake the bottle thoroughly before use, as the metal pigment sinks to the bottom.
• The best effect comes over a smooth, dark ground, ideally over a black or dark primer.
• Applied with a brush or an airbrush, thinned with water or with Vallejo acrylic thinner.
• Apply metallic paints toward the end, as they are harder to mask and to overspray.
• Suited to the building up of worn metal surfaces together with the SHADE from the same family.
