A marker pen from the Gundam Marker range filled with a silver paint with a metallic sheen, code XGM02, the shade listed under the name Shine Silver. The tip takes the place of a brush and an airbrush everywhere that a small area is involved and where setting up a whole spraying outfit would not be worth it.
A silver metallic shade is aimed at places where metal should show through the surface: on the edges of covers and joints, on gun barrels and blades, on frames and small mechanical parts. It is also used to suggest worn edges, that is places where on a real machine the paint comes away and the metal beneath is laid bare. It serves well on figures and on the small accessories of other models too.
The metallic pigment settles, so shake the marker pen thoroughly before every session. Get the tip started by pressing it on an offcut of plastic until the paint flows evenly. Draw continuous strokes in one direction and let the coat dry, because going over paint that is not dry drags the pigment out and breaks up the sheen. For a narrow place the tip cannot reach, you can squeeze the paint out onto a spare plate and apply it with a brush.
The package contains the marker pen in the version stated. The model, further shades, clear coats and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. Work in a well-ventilated room and keep the marker pen out of the reach of children.
