A greenish flesh for the undead, mutants and poisoned beings. A single-coat acrylic paint that finds its own way into the wrinkles and sunken places of a face.

Zombie Flesh is a flesh shade pulled toward yellow-green, that is exactly where healthy skin ends and undead meat begins. It finds a use on zombies, ghouls, poisoned fighters and on fantastical races with inhuman coloring. Because it is a single-coat paint, a figure is colored in one pass and at the same time the sunken cheeks, eye sockets and tendons on the neck are drawn out.
Most often the whole part is spoiled by impatience at the moment when the area stops being glossy and is not yet dry. Anyone who at that point passes a brush over paint already laid will lift the settled pigment and create a sharp transition that once dry looks like a map. It can only be put right with a new coat over the whole part. The rule is: leave what you have laid alone until the area has dried completely, and only then decide about a repair.
The effect is stronger if you leave a light ground under the paint. Over a bone white or sand underpainting the shade gains brightness, whereas over gray it goes gray and will look more like stone. It can be supplemented with a darker cast in wounds and a reddened tone around the eyes, both only once the coat beneath has dried completely. The contrast between matte skin and glossy fluid on a fresh injury is what gives a figure an unpleasant credibility, and it is worth the patience.
