Military history, not modelling method, is what Valka Revue deals in, and it has a section of its own here. For a builder the interest lies in what such a periodical says about events, units and equipment - the material behind a choice of markings, stowage and overall condition. It is a source of context, which is a different job from a step-by-step modelling title and a useful complement to one. A general title sets the scene but settles no detail, so the next step for one specific machine is the monograph: drawings, colour profiles and walkaround photographs are in reference books on real machines, and the crews and infantry that place a vehicle in its period in model figures.
