Responsibility details are not available.
A set of thirty-six unpainted figures of Bavarian infantry of the Franco-Prussian War of 1870 and 1871, in 28 millimeter size. The figures are in hard plastic and multi-part: bodies, heads, arms and weapons are glued separately, so you put the poses and the weapons together as you like. The Bavarian units differed from the Prussian ones enough to need a set of their own, not just a different color.
Bavaria entered the war in 1870 alongside Prussia, despite a strained relationship with it beforehand, and its corps formed a separate part of the German army. Bavarian infantry wore light blue coats and a distinctive helmet called the Raupenhelm, with a crest of hair, which set it apart from the Prussian soldiers in their spiked helmets. It is this difference that is the main recognition feature on a figure.
Separate the parts from the sprue with nippers at a distance and trim the rest with a knife. They are glued with ordinary modeling cement for polystyrene. Apply a primer. Build the light blue coat over a light base so that it does not go dark, and bring out the crest of the helmet with a dry brush, as it is the most conspicuous detail on the figure.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
