28mm Franco-Prussian War - French Infantry Firing Line is a set of multi-part plastic figures of French infantry in a firing line.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of unpainted figures of French infantry of the Franco-Prussian War of 1870 and 1871, in 28 millimeter size, in firing poses: standing, kneeling and loading. The figures are in hard plastic and multi-part, so you put the poses and the weapons together as you like. The sister set in the same range builds instead on advancing soldiers.
In 1870 French infantry had the advantage over the Prussians of a rifle with a considerably longer range, so in defense it could inflict heavy losses on an attacker. The problem was command and organization, where the Prussians were markedly superior. The soldiers wore dark blue coats and red trousers, a conspicuous scheme and, on a modern battlefield, a dangerously visible one.
Separate the parts from the sprue with nippers at a distance and trim the rest with a knife. They are glued with ordinary modeling cement for polystyrene. Apply a primer. Build the red trousers over a light base, or the shade will go dark and lose the saturation that is characteristic of this army.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
