This is a detailed set of tracks and road wheels for the Soviet T-26 light tank in 1:72, not a kit of the tank. The manufacturer gives the content as two complete track units with road wheels, left and right, with the track links and the suspension of the running gear captured. The parts are 3D printed.
The T-26 was a Soviet light tank derived from the British Vickers six-ton, whose license the USSR bought at the beginning of the thirties; it entered service in the Red Army in February 1931. It was one of the most widespread tanks of its time, with production estimates between ten and eleven thousand. It fought in the Spanish Civil War, where Soviet deliveries went from 1936, and in the Winter War with Finland of 1939 to 1940. The Finns rearmed captured machines with a Soviet gun.
Cut the printing supports off and clean up the contact surfaces so that the unit sits straight. Protect your airways when sanding, glue with cyanoacrylate glue and apply a primer coat. Do not paint the track pure black: a dark brown-gray base, a metallic dry brush along the faces of the links and pigment underneath look more faithful. The prominent suspension will be set off by a wash run into the gaps.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
