Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the modern multirole fighter Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II in the large 1:32 scale from Italeri. This is the F-35A variant with conventional takeoff and landing (CTOL) intended for land-based air forces. The large scale allows rich detail on the airframe, the cockpit and the weapon bays. Boxings of this type are usually complemented by photo-etched parts and decals for several versions; check the exact contents against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The F-35 Lightning II is an American fifth-generation fighter with a reduced radar signature, advanced sensors and data links. The F-35A version is the most widespread and is intended for conventional takeoff and landing from an ordinary runway. It carries its weapons internally in the weapon bays to preserve its low observability, and on external pylons where needed. It serves with the air forces of the USA and of a number of allied countries.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and sand the joints carefully because of the smooth airframe surfaces. Paint and pick out the cockpit and the instrument panel before closing the fuselage, and mask the clear canopy. The low-observable scheme of a stealth aircraft calls for subtle shades of gray: work with an airbrush in thin coats and accent the panel lines only discreetly. Apply the decals over a gloss coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
