A 3D interior decal for building the British carrier-borne fighter Hawker Sea Fury FB.11 in the large 1:32 scale, from the Russian brand Quinta Studio. It is a printed, fully colored relief part on decal paper that replaces painting the instrument panel and the cockpit side walls. The box states the Sea Fury kit from DBMK as the target. The plastic kit is not included in the package.
The Hawker Sea Fury was the last British piston-engined fighter and at the same time one of the fastest piston-engined combat machines ever. It was powered by the bulky Bristol Centaurus radial engine and the aircraft came about as a carrier-borne development of the line that began with the Tempest. The FB.11 version was the fighter-bomber, and the Royal Navy took it into the Korean War, where the Sea Fury even added an air victory over a jet opponent.
3D decals are not applied like an ordinary decal. Paint the surface in the cockpit first and give it a gloss clear coat, because the decal will not seat on a matte surface. Dip the part briefly in warm water, release it from the paper and seat it in place; the makers recommend helping it along with white PVA glue. Then press the shape down carefully with a cotton swab so that the relief follows the base, and let it dry thoroughly. Do not use solvent-based decal softeners, as they can attack the surface.
This is an add-on for a model, not a kit. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
