A 3D-printed resin set of plants in 1:35 scale from GINGER CAT: monstera. The manufacturer gives six pieces in the package. The plants are supplied unpainted, so the shade of the leaves and the degree of withering are decided by the modeler according to the climate and the period the scene portrays.
The monstera is a tropical vine with large leaves that have characteristic slits and holes; it is these that make it unmissable among house plants and diorama plants alike. It comes from the rainforests of Central America and spread all over the world as a house plant, so it suits a tropical scene as well as a modern interior. The slit leaves are at the same time the reason why such a plant can only be made by printing or by photo-etching.
3D-printed parts are small and brittle: separate them with a fine-tooth saw or with nippers and level the remains of the print supports with a fine file. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); solvent cement for plastic does not hold. Before painting, spray a thin coat of primer, as a heavy coat would drown the detail.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
