Responsibility details are not available.
A printed resin two-meter rod antenna for German tanks in 1:35 scale from the Turkish brand Ginger Cat, in the second version. The manufacturer designs its accessories in house and makes them by high-resolution resin printing. This is an accessory to a kit, not a model; the plastic kit, paints and glue are not included in the package. It also offers a third version under a separate number.
The two-meter rod antenna is a conspicuous identifying feature on German tanks, one that gives the vehicle the right height and silhouette. It rises from a sprung mount on the hull, and on some machines it was accompanied by a protective guide against its being snapped off while driving under branches. In a plastic kit the antenna is either too thick or missing altogether. During the build it is also the most vulnerable part, so it is glued on at the very end.
First wash the printed resin parts in warm soapy water so that the print residue disappears from the surface and the paint will hold. Cut off the supports with a saw or a cutting disc, never with nippers, which will break the resin. The manufacturer recommends applying a base before painting. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue or epoxy, as cement for plastic will not hold here. A dark wash into the recesses and a drybrush on the edges will draw out the detail. Wear a respirator while sanding.
This is an accessory to a model, not a kit. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
