Panzer I tracks, 1:35 — a 3D-printed resin accessory from GINGER CAT.
Responsibility details are not available.
3D-printed resin tracks for a model of the German Panzer I light tank in 1:35 scale from GINGER CAT. They replace the tracks from the kit, which tend to be of flexible plastic or to have a mold seam. Printed resin allows fine detail on the links and open gaps, which on an injection-molded part are usually filled in.
The Panzer I was a German light tank of the first half of the 1930s, originally intended mainly for training. It had only machine gun armament in a two-man turret and very thin armor, yet the Wehrmacht went into Spain, into Poland and into France with it, because at first it had nothing better. The later Ausf. B version received a longer hull and five road wheels; the narrow tracks were always clearly visible on a model, because no side skirts cover them.
3D-printed parts are small and brittle: separate them with a fine-tooth saw or with nippers and level the remains of the print supports with a fine file. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); solvent cement for plastic does not hold. Before painting, spray a thin coat of primer, as a heavy coat would drown the detail.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
