This is not a vehicle model but its interior equipment: a set of radio gear for the Sd.Kfz. 250 half-track armored personnel carrier, in the form that the box ties to the year 1944. The Hungarian brand SBS Model makes resin and 3D-printed add-ons, and this set belongs to its printed line. On an open vehicle the interior is always in view, so the difference against plastic parts shows at first glance.
The Sd.Kfz. 250 was a light German half-track armored personnel carrier used as a reconnaissance, signals and command vehicle. The signals forms carried a radio set inside the hull, and because the hull is open the equipment is visible from above. German military radios had a characteristic look: boxes with a front panel, rotary controls and a dial, seated in frames with anti-vibration mounts. For a model that means it is the instrument boxes and their mountings that decide how faithful the interior looks.
Wash the parts clean of print residue and cut off the supports; sand the marks down carefully and protect your breathing while sanding. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the boxes before you seat them in the hull: the body in matte gray or black, the front panels set apart, the dial suggested in a light color and the glass with a drop of gloss clear coat. Add the cabling from fine wire; it is that which turns the interior into a believable workplace. Finish with a fine dusting.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
