A set of damaged track links for the Leopard 2 tank family in 1:35 scale from the Ukrainian maker Spalah. This is a resin accessory, not a tank kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a model of a tank but a set of replacement track links for the Leopard 2 tank family in 1:35 scale, in the damaged version. The box states 170 links and 20 links of the cross type. The maker is the Ukrainian brand Spalah, which works by 3D printing from photopolymer resin. The set is intended for more experienced modelers, because resin links take more work to build than a ready-made plastic track.
The Leopard 2 is a German main battle tank taken into service at the beginning of the 1980s and still operated by a number of European armies. Its track is made up of individual steel links with rubber pads. Damaged and discarded links are a common sight on the battlefield as well as in repair workshops, so they suit dioramas with a broken-down or knocked-out vehicle.
First wash the print resin residue off the parts, cut the print supports away and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); cyanoacrylate holds on resin better than cement for plastic. Paint the track over a dark metallic base, then bring out the wear on the running faces with a dry brush and add dust and mud with pigments.
This is an accessory, not a kit. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
